Only if they can prove it.

I find it disturbing that Pete Rose can not be in the hall of fame yet all these records are being broke by steroid using athletes. If it is proven that steroids were used the athlete needs to have all stats erased from the books. Or start a stat book for those who are not honest enough to play with their God given talent. I feel that the huge saleries given to cheaters should be repaid as well.

I think his stats should be erased from the moment he started using steroids and I think that Baseball MUST ban the steroid users from the hall NOW before it becomes a huge contraversy and alienates fans, gives Baseball a huge black eye in the public and causes other problems for MLB.
McGwire, McGriff, Canseco, Palmiero are all potential Hall of famers who like Bonds clearly used steroids during their careers. Giambi is another that might accumulate HOF stats and again is a proven steroids user. Instant banning from the HOF on first steroid conviction should be a rule adopted and should be applied backwards to all Steroids users who used them after they were banned, possibly used them at all.
I also think that all top ten in any major stat should be tested weekly for substance abuse as well as tested randomly at least once every 6 weeks inbetween. This will assure that stars and future hall of famers have a clean reputation and will do a great deal to remove such substances from baseball. If these rules are not applied you might as well make it legal as certain players are enjoying very unfair advantages over others. Testing is a joke and many players are still using steroids. I personally am very suspicious of a couple like Derek Lee who suddenly learned how to hit after years of not being able to do so and is a triple crown contender? Come on a 29 year old with a long history of medicracty isn’t likely to do that. I would be testing him every 3 days if I were comissioner. The guy has steroids written all over him. Several other players have made sudden jumps in stats which should be treated suspiciously until steroids and HGF are removed from the game.

well first of all, not ALL his stats should be erased, just those from when he was juicing. barry has admitted to using steroids (according to leaked grand jury testimony), he claims that he didn’t know they were steroids, although i find it hard to believe that someone with such an interest in making sure his body is in peak condition would not know what he was taking. and if it’s not true that he admitted that to the grand jury, then he should sue for defamation. but until then, we can assume that he was juicing

Should he? Probably not. For one thing, he presumably has some legitimate stats in there. For another, the majority reason why it would happen isn’t so much the steroids as the fact that most fans really do not like Bonds. Would 99% of baseball fans like to see it happen? You bet. I’m hoping he’s hit by a bus just enough that he can’t hold a bat anymore and thus doesn’t take over the home run record. I’m just sorry the bus didn’t find him before he passed the Babe.

Everything against Barry Bonds is just hear say. Nothing been proven. Until they find or have evidence that he did take steroids, they give me the ultimate sentence. Give the guy his just due, he’s a great talent and worthy of going to the Hall Of Fame.

I think his stats should have an asterisk beside them. The idea that any fan could really believe Bonds is not a steroid user is laughable. Bonds shames the game of baseball every time he walks onto the field.
