@christo930 One other thing. . I used to be a global warming skeptic, but you know what. . I got tired of finding out that the people on my side (leaders, not the public) were constantly lying. They were lying about their credentials, lying about the science, quote mining, editorializing scientists words and presenting them as quotes, deliberately misleading people. There is so much dishonesty on the skeptic side. The have an agenda and that is more important to them than the future.

@erushbass You’re joking, right? Where are you getting this information. Even guys like Christi admit the globe is warming and that it is us doing it. Where they disagree is the extent of the warming. Do you believe the navy? They are preparing for global warming. Do you think they are just making it up when they say that we need to be prepared for an ice free summer by the 30′s in the arctic?

Well I don’t support any regulations that reduce car-use. I understand that some benefit from driving.
I am just against regulations that make car-usage the ONLY suitable transporatation option due to zoning laws and codes even though people don’t want or can’t have or drive a car. People want transporation choices and dont want to be so isolated from their shopping, offices, and other daily needs.
So when oil prices climb, at least people cant walk to the produce store.

PPS Petrol in the UK is currently around $8 per US gallon, and a whopping 85% of it is tax!!!

PS I dont see why the US cant drill its own oil, or develop natural gas(of wich I heard you have lots of).

The result is a narrow, winding, totally unsuitable road network, that is a complete danger/ inconvinience to both drivers pedestrians.
Dont you guys have local convienience stores?
It cant be that anti pedestrian can it?

@Cyrus992 Well, nice to see you wasted half your reply accusing me of being a shill, and no, ive never even heard of those people you mention.
Pherhaps you could explain, given as economy of scale is the one of the most basic factors of the free market, why a big box retailer isnt more efficient, therefore cheaper better?
Are you seriously trying to tell me that the car was forced upon us?
That is without a doubt the stupidest thing ive ever heard.
